Lacto-intensive active complex
By means of a special process fresh organic whey is being fermented. As a base of nearly all BIOTURM products, the fermented organic whey normalises the skin’s flora and the acid mantle by the ingredients contained. Natural lactic acid, essential amino acids, trace elements etc. are well absorbed by the skin and normalise the skin's moisture level.
Under “special ingredients -> lacto-intensive active complex” you will find more information about it.
Helianthus Annuus Hybrid Oil
Sunflower oil is being extracted from the seeds of the sunflower (Helianthus annuus Liné). The sunflower is native to North America and is nowadays mainly cultivated in East and Western Europe as well as in North and South America. BIOTURM uses High Oleic sunflower oil which has a higher content of oleic acid than normal sunflower oil; it has a protective effect, is well tolerated, epithelising and easily absorbed by the skin. Sunflower oil is traditionally used in case of injuries and skin rash.
Evening primrose oil
Oenothera Biennis Seed Oil
Evening primrose oil is extracted from the seeds of the evening primrose (Oenothera biennis L.) It is native to the Northwest of North America and can today be found throughout North America and Mexico as well as in East Asia and Europe. Primrose oil has a high content of linoleic acid and γ-linolenic acid; both fatty acids are important components of the skin’s lipid layer. Transepidermal water loss is reduced; coarse skin is softened and regenerated. Evening primrose oil is suitable for all skin types but is particularly used in case of flaky and irritated skin as well as for skin prone to inflammation and allergies.
